The launch of the European Cancer Community Foundation included a vast array of cancer patients, oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, politicians, policy-makers – and many of the corporate sponsors whose generosity has so energised this initiative.

Some of the featured guests included: Margaritis Schinas, Vice-President of the European Commission; Tomislav Sokol MEP, from the European’s People Party, who kindly hosted the event; Gustaph, the Belgian singer for Eurovision 2023, who joined with a video celebrating the launch (available below); Matthew Santoro, popular YouTuber and Twitch streamer; Andre Ilbawi, surgical oncologist and lead of the World Health Organization’s cancer programme; the Sea of Change Choir, Ireland’s Got Talent Winners of 2019 who dedicated a song to the foundation and its promise.

This is just a glimpse of the support we’ve received over the last few weeks and why we are so optimistic about the foundation.
